KATHMANDU, June 28: Senior Surgeon Dr Goinda KC has threatened to stage fast-unto-death from Friday saying that the government is not drafting Replacement Bill in line with the Education Ordinance issued earlier.
The Replacement Bill has to be endorsed by the first week of July based in accordance with the Education Ordinance issued earlier.
Senior Surgeon KC said that he would begin his hunger strike at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences accusing the government of making adjustments in the main points laid down in the Education Ordinance while drafting the Replacement Bill.
KC has demanded that all the provisions of the Education Ordinance should be included in letter and spirit in the Replacement Bill without any altercations except for the two-year-service tenure following the postgraduate.
Meanwhile, he accused the government of lingering the implementation of the decision to open medical colleges outside the Kathmandu Valley.
