Senior players honored

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Former national players belonging to the first generation of Nepali sports were honored on Tuesday.



More than four dozen players of 70 plus age group were honored jointly by Madan Bhandari Sports Academy and Manomohan Memorial Foundation in the capital.



The players were honored for their role in promotion and development of Nepali sports.



The function was held to mark the World Senior Citizens Day which falls on October 1.



Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Manomohan Memorial Foundation President Bharat Mohan Adhikari and Madan Bhandari Foundation President Usha Kiran Bhandari among others honored the senior players.



They were given letter of appreciation and Nepali caps.
