KATHMANDU, Oct 8: The National Players' Welfare Fund has provided financial assistance to two karate players for medical treatment.


The karate players Siddiqi Taj Babbar has received Rs 150,000, and Bipin Raj Singh Darji has received Rs 75,000. Siddiqi was injured in a road accident, while Bipin has kidney problems.

The check for the mentioned amounts was handed over to the players by Tankalal Ghising, who is also the chairman of the fund and the member secretary of the National Sports Council. On that occasion, the member secretary of the fund and president of the Nepal National and International Players Association, Deepak Shrestha, the director of national team preparations, Deepak Bista, and the deputy director of the Sports Science Institute Academy of Nepal (SAN) and head coach for physical conditioning, Rajendra Ratna Tuladhar, were present.
