Four houses were gutted by the fire that broke out at Pathari Bazaar. Goods and property worth hundreds of thousands of rupees have been destroyed by the fire.
Chauhan said Khadka who was sick had been sleeping inside one of the houses engulfed by the fire and died in the incident.
The houses of Chandramaya Limbu, Madan Basnet, Sangam Rai and Rajendra Dhimal have been destroyed by the fire that broke out at half past six in the morning.
