Seminar on copyrights begins

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Minister for Federal Affairs, Constituent Assembly, Legislature-Parliament and Culture Gopal Kiranti has said that the tasks of the peace process would be completed soon after the completion of army integration process.



"The army integration process will not be affected due to the UCPN (Maoist)," he said. Speaking at a seminar organized by the Nepal Copyright Registrar’s Office in the capital on Tuesday, Minister Kiranti hoped that the peace process and constitution writing would be completed.[break]



On the occasion, Mr. Kiranti said that the Copyrights Act was enough to protect the creations of litterateurs and the Office was effortful for the implementation of the Act and carry out the monitoring.



Some 70 artists, lyricists, musicians and others have been participating in the two-day seminar organized with a view to giving a sense of protection to the creations. The experts of the International Copyrights Protection Association would conduct the training.



Also speaking on the occasion, Secretary at the Minsitry Dinesh Hari Adhikari said that the ministry was working for the copyright protection in the country.
