KATHMANDU, May 3: All schools in respective provinces where the May 14 local level elections will be held are to be closed from May 8 to 14.
The decision to this effect has been taken at the direction of Education Ministry and on the request of the Election Commission, said Director General of the Education Department Babu Ram Poudel.

As per the decision, all schools in province-3, 4 and 6, the place where the polls are scheduled to take place in the first phase (the government has announced to organise the polls in the remaining provinces 1, 2, 5 and 7 in second phase).
The disrupted classes would be compensated by running classes in extra time in other days, Poudel said. RSS
