Mandal claimed that the losing side resorted to thrashing after failing to accept the fact that 10 members in the 11-member FSU were elected from Tarai Madhes Student Front.
In the incident, furniture and documents of FSU office were burnt to ashes, causing a damage worth Rs 40,000.
The Front said the lockout will continue until the culprits are punished. It has also called a transport strike in the district Sunday.
Meanwhile, students padlocked the Lachamu Secondary School, the oldest secondary school of Jaleshwar, to protest the appointment of the daughter of the school management committee chairman Bikram Paswan to the relief quota of teachers.
