KHOTANG, Nov 15: School teachers on Friday staged a rally in Khotang district against the encroachment upon Nepali territories including Kalapani and Limpiyadhura by India.

Teachers affiliated with Nepal National Teachers' Association and Unified All Nepal Teachers' Association took out the rally in Diktel, the district headquarters of Khotang. Protestors carried placards reading "Let's unite against the border encroachment and safeguard territorial integrity".

There have been a series of protests across Nepal after Indian unveiled a new political map placing Nepali territories Kalapani and Limpiyadhura inside Indian borders two weeks ago.

The teachers' organizations also submitted a memorandum to District Administration Office Khotang to draw the attention of the government over border encroachment by India.
