The SC has urged the Nepal Bar Association, an umbrella organisation of legal practitioners, to provide three senior advocates or advocates on the discussions panel. Likewise, there will be three people from the apex court to discuss about the matter.

It is noted that advocate Uttam Prasad Rimal some two years ago filed a writ petition in the court demanding the legalization of the euthanasia or ‘right to death with dignity’ as the ‘right to life’ for the patients in coma for long and with incurable and debilitating illness.
