SC to resume works after preparing temporary office

KATHMANDU, May 2: The Supreme Court (SC) is to resume its works soon by preparing a new temporary physical infrastructure as the office of the SC is damaged in the Saturday's earthquake.

Joint Spokesperson of the SC Baburam Dahal said that discussions were held on Friday to begin the hearing of the cases by making temporary benches at the cavalry of Nepal Army in Singhadurbar as early as possible.


Chief Justice Ram Kumar Prasad Shah, Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, Urban Development Minister Dr Narayan Khadka, Minister for Law and Justice Narahari Acharya and Chief Secretary Leela Mani Paudyal come to a conclusion to resume the SC's business after preparing a temporary structure.

Joint Spokesperson Dahal said that hearing of cases was postponed till 8 May though other administrative works were continued.

The courts in the valley and districts would come into full operation from Sunday.
