SC hearing on fake Bhutanese refugees case involving ex-deputy PM Rayamajhi today

KATHMANDU, April 25: The Supreme Court (SC) has scheduled a hearing for Thursday on the writ petition that former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and others filed in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.

KATHMANDU, April 25: The Supreme Court (SC) has scheduled a hearing for Thursday on the writ petition that former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and others filed in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.


Tek Narayan Pandey, Angtawa Sherpa, Shamsher Mia, Keshav Prasad Dulal, Sandesh Sharma, Gobinda Kumar Chaudhary, Sagar Rai, Indrajit Rai, Sanu Bhandari along with Rayamajhi lodged a writ petition in SC.

A joint bench of Justices Kumar Regmi and Tek Prasad Dhungana have been seeing the case since April 7.


After the Patan High Court ordered to keep them in custody for the preliminary investigation, the defendants including Rayamajhi appealed to the SC for their release.
