SC ruling on CA term extension next Sunday

KATHMANDU, May 17: The Supreme Court on Monday said it will take a decision on Sunday on whether to stay any bid to extend CA tenure.



Justice Mohan Prakash Sitaula, after an initial hearing on a writ petition seeking SC intervention against any bid to extend the CA term, said the court needed to listen to the defendants before issuing a ruling in the case.



The government, CA Secretariat and the top leaders of three major parties, among others, are defendants in the petition filed on Sunday by Bharat Jungum.
