The Supreme Court (SC) hearing on a case filed against actor Bhuwan KC, which was expected to start on August 18, has been postponed for August 22, Monday.
SC postpones hearing on Bhuwan KC case for August 29
The Supreme Court had called both the plaintiff and defendants of the case to appear today for further discussion before issuing an interim order.
Earlier, during the hearing on the case filed against KC on Monday, Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut demanded the Council of Ministers, Film Development Board and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies and Bhuwan KC provide written clarifications.
Five contenders for the chairmanship including Naresh Poudel, filed a petition at the Supreme Court saying that KC's educational qualification was not sufficient for the appointment as the chairperson of the Film Development Board. They also demanded an interim order to stop KC from working as the chairperson of the Board.
