SC issues show cause order from govt for granting clemency to Resham Chaudhary

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a show cause order regarding the government's remission of sentence to Resham Chaudhary, who was found guilty in the Tikapur massacre.

Responding to a writ petition filed against the government’s decision to pardon Chaudhary, a single bench of Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana on Friday ordered the President's Office to show cause for clemency.
