The book is a collection of poems, songs and ghazals written in Nepali, Nepal Bhasa, Hindi and English. The book has 30 poems and 22 songs.[break]
Rabindra Mishra, journalist, Bhimarjun Acharya, constitutional expert, and Ratna Lamichhane, wife of poet Shankar Lamichhane jointly launched the book.
“He does a lot of research and he is a complete person,” said Bhimarjun Acharya before he recited a poem titled ‘Paribhasa’ from the book.
Prakash Sayami declared half of the money collected from the sales of the book at the event would go to Rakshya Nepal, an NGO that works for female sex workers and their children in Nepal.
“This book is a collection of the poems I wrote about the political changes in the country form the revolution of 2036 to revolution of 2063,” said Sayami.
“When Bhutto was assassinated in 2036, I wrote a poem and I was jailed,” said Sayami adding, “That event motivated me to write poems on political changes in the country.”
“‘Timilai Dekheko Samaya’ is my favorite among the poems in the collection,” said Sayami, who is a filmmaker, poet and a radio broadcaster.

The comments posted by his friends about the book on Facebook have also been published at the end of the book. Facebook comments have been published in a book for the first time in Nepal.
Sayami’s songs ‘Jaha Bhamar Cha’ sung by Ram Bhakta Joshi, ‘Kasaiko Huna Nasakeko Ma’ by Deep Shrestha and ‘Timi Gayau Mero Zindagi Bata’ by Dipak Kharel have been included in the book.
“My poems try to convey the message that we have to be sincere to ourselves,” said Sayami.
“His poems are simple and intelligible even by just listening to them,” said Rajendra Chapagain, President of Random Readers Society Nepal, Pokhara.
“He talks about things related to life and the world in casual language, so his poems will be relevant for a long time,” Chapagain added.
The book is priced at Rs 175 and is distributed by Educational Book House.
