Sankhuwasabha Murder Case: Dead bodies of six of seven members of  family found scattered

SANKHUWASABHA, Sept 6: As many as six members of a single family were brutally murdered by unknown assailants on Sunday night in Madi Municipality of Sankhuwasabha. The bodies of the deceased were found scattered in different parts of the house. 

According to the police, one of the family members survived the violent attack. The survivor has been identified as the 89-year-old Boudhaman Karki. 

The six victims of the cold-blooded murder have been identified as 58-year-old Tej Bahadur Karki, his 80-year-old mother Parbata Karki, his 56-year-old wife Manmaya Karki, 28-year-old daughter-in-law Ranjana Karki, 10-year-old grandson Deepak Karki, and granddaughter Goma Karki aged five. 

The body of Tej Bahadur was found in the garden while his wife and daughter-in-law were found dead at a pit near the house. Tej Bahadur’s grandchildren were recovered from a corn field, a little farther from their house. The victims have deep wounds on their head, back and other parts of the body. The two younger brothers of Tej Bahadur are both working abroad. 

“It is found that the victims were attacked by a sharp object. A team under the command of DSP from the district police office has been sent to the site of the incident. Further investigation into the case is currently underway,” Arun BC, Chief of Province 1 Police Office, Biratnagar informed Republica.

A separate team of police officers and trained dogs have also been sent from Dharan for investigation. Another team of police personnel led by Police Inspector Yograj Khatiwada from the Area Police Office have also already reached the site of the incident.
