Nepalese Fashion Home organized a beauty pageant titled ‘Miss Little Newa: 1139’ at the premises of Rashtriya Nach Ghar on Saturday. 24 girls participated in the competition. However, Sanisha Lageju from Bhaktapur bagged the title. Similarly, Luswa Manandhar and Selina Prajapati were declared the first and second runner-up respectively.
The event was organized with an aim to promote Newari culture and to handover the culture to new generation. Apart from the title, the event featured different award- categories including Miss Personality, Miss Culture, Best Hair, Miss Innocent, Best Nepal Bhasa, Miss Friendship, Miss Photogenic, Miss Charming, Miss Discipline, Mest Smile and Miss Unique.
Door-to-door in search of Miss Newa
Former deputy prime-minister Gopal Man Shreshta was the chief guest at the event. The competition was judged by entrepreneur Pradip Man Pradhan, Miss Newa Angel Shrestha, Musician Jugal Dangol and Vice Principal of Namuna College Jeebeswor Lal Shrestha.
