Samsung Galaxy Tab E launched

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Samsung Electronics has launched its mid-segment tablet Galaxy Tab E in the Nepali market. Galaxy Tab E is an Android tablet with 9.6-inch display.

Issuing a press release, Samsung said the Galaxy Tab E supports voice-calling and allows multi-tasking with ease, allowing usage of Multi-Window to access two apps at the same time."The launch of these new devices will further strengthen Samsung's product portfolio in the mid-range segment and expand our leadership position in the tablet market. Samsung is the leader in the tablet category and we are focused on expanding our content, services packages and on increasing our retail coverage," the release said.

Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, head of HHP Division, Samsung Nepal, said the launch of new tablets will carry forward Samsung's legacy of introducing smart media devices. "We are confident that new Galaxy Tabs will seamlessly become a part of consumer's daily routine," he said in the release.

Galaxy Tab E also features 'Kids Mode' which enables children to use the tablet to explore, create and have fun. "The kids-friendly graphics user interface ensures apps are simplified, visually stimulating and highly intuitive for the child," it added.

The tablet has 1.5 GB RAM. It supports external memory of up to 128 GB through microSD card. Galaxy Tab E is priced at Rs 27,900.
