KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Samsung has expanded its popular A-series lineup in Nepal with the launch of the all-new Galaxy A17 5G, offering flagship-level features at a mid-range price point. The smartphone is available in three variants: 8/256GB at Rs 34,999, 8/128GB at Rs 30,999 and 6/128GB at Rs 28,999, Samsung Nepal stated in a press release.
According to the press release, the Galaxy A17 5G comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate, housed in a slimmer and lighter design with linear grouped cameras. For photography, it boasts a 50MP OIS main camera, 5MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro shooter, ensuring versatility for every shooting scenario.

Furthermore, the device is powered by AI-driven tools, including Gemini integration, Gemini Live, and Circle to Search, enhancing both productivity and usability. “With the Galaxy A17 5G, our vision is to bring the power of AI into the hands of more consumers in Nepal. By integrating smarter, more intuitive, and personalized features into the A17, we are ensuring that advanced innovation is not limited to premium devices but accessible to everyone,” the press release quoted Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, Director, MX Business Samsung Nepal, as saying.
The company said that durability is reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and IP54 dust and splash resistance, while Samsung promises six years of security updates and six OS upgrades to deliver long-term value.
