KATHMANDU, March 11: Samikshya Sangraula, who donated her kidney to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, has been discharged from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital today.
Prime Minister Oli's chief political advisor Bishnu Rimal said that Sangraula returned home after being fully recovered. On Twitter, Rimal also wished for Sangraula's good health.
PM Oli undergoes successful kidney transplant at TUTH
On March 4, PM Oli underwent a successful kidney transplant at Maharajgunj-based TUTH. Sangroula, 32, was recuperating in the same hospital after donating her right kidney to the prime minister.
Dr Dibya Singh, the prime minister’s personal physician, said that they have decided not to discharge him from the hospital until they are fully confident he will not develop any complications once he is discharged.
