More than Rs. 35 million remittances were brought in the VDC from March14 -April 13 through different money transfer agencies.
The VDC received the remittances through people of the VDC, who have gone abroad for foreign employment including America, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, New Zealand, Germany, Australia and South Korea.
Branch Manager at the Sagarmatha Merchant Bank, Gyan Deep Rai, said that remittance has sustained the economic burden of the locals of the VDC in recent times.There are more than one dozen money transfer units in the district.
