KATHMANDU, Sept 15: The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has unveiled the draw for the fifth SAFF Women’s Championship 2018 on Thursday.
In the draw organized in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Nepal is placed with Bangladesh, Bhutan and Pakistan in Group A. Likewise, the Group B has the defending champion India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Match schedule for SAFF Championship made public
The tournament will run from December 17 to 26, but the host country has not been decided yet.
The top two teams of each group will enter the semifinals of the tournament.
India is the winner of all the previous four editions. Nepal is the losing finalist of 2010, 2012 and 2014 editions, while it was knocked out in the semifinals of the 2016 edition. Nepal also lost top India in the semifinal of 2016.
