Through a series of fundraisers in various schools and shopping malls, musical concert and flash mob programs in Kathmandu, the campaign is raising funds, both cash and kind, to handover to the victims in the flood-hit areas of Far Western Development Region of Nepal.[break]
The fundraising is scheduled to begin from July 6. The organizers are also developing fund collecting mechanisms through SMS systems also.
At the end of the 10 day campaign, the fun collected will be handed over to Nepal Red-Cross Society. “We are handing over the funds to Nepal Red-Cross Society since it isn’t possible for us to physically go to these places. Through the Nepal Red-Cross Society, the funds will reach people in Bardiya, Kailali and Darchula,” said Devashish Sharma, Media and Communications Coordinator for the campaign.
