KATHMANDU: Youth wing of ruling Madhesi People´s Rights Forum, Madhesi Youth Forum, called a banda (strikes) in eastern industrial city of Biratnagar on Saturday. Normal life was affected in the city, Avenue TV said. The Youth Forum has set five demands that include immediate action against murderer of its cadre, Karan Yadav, who was killed during a row over government contract-awarding process. Chief District Officer of Morang, Shashi Shekhar Shrestha, however, said people’s movements are usually less on Saturday so there is no impact of the banda. It may be recalled that the ruling parties had agreed not to call any strikes when they signed a code of conduct of the government before forming present seven party coalition four months ago.
