Ruling coalition to come up with CMP in five days, Oli is ruling alliance coordinator

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: The ruling parties have decided to present a common minimum program (CMP) in the next five days.

This decision was taken at a meeting of the ruling coalition held at Baluwatar, the official residence of the Prime Minister on Thursday. Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane said that it has been decided to make CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli the coordinator of the ruling alliance to prepare the CMP. He said that the cabinet expansion was also discussed in the meeting.

He said, "The ruling coalition has decided to come up with a common minimum program within the next five days. It has been decided that every political party will nominate a member for the common minimum program. It was decided to make CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli the coordinator of the ruling coalition parties. The issue of Cabinet expansion was also discussed. There was a discussion on expanding the cabinet on the basis of merit.”

Home Minister Lamichhane said that a CMP is being prepared to decide what the new government is for.
