KATHMANDU, April 7: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has said that it does not agree with the Common Minimum Program of the government. Spokesperson for RSP, Mukul Dhakal said earlier that many topics of the Common Minimum Program of the coalition government with UML have now been left out.

KATHMANDU, April 7: The government is waiving the penalty fee on the tax dues of those businesses that have failed to clear the taxes for a long time. Likewise, the government has also looked forward to allowing such enterprises to pay the due amounts on equal installment basis.

KATHMANDU, April 6: The ruling coalition parties have reached consensus on the government’s common minimum program (CMP). Dev Prasad Gurung, general secretary of CPN (Maoist Center), said that the ruling parties held orientation on the common policies and programs of the government in the meeting of the ruling alliance held at the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar, earlier today.

It goes without saying that corruption is a major problem in Nepal that has undermined the country’s social, economic and political development. At a glance, the Common Minimum Program was the demand of the Maoist Center, which has been calling for an all-party mechanism to make governance easier. Experts in bureaucracy, administration, and law say that the formulation of such a program seems to have become a fashion in Nepal instead of a necessity.

KATHMANDU, August 11: The common minimum program introduced by the coalition government led by Sher Bahadur Deuba has ignored the projects under the much-talked about Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The previous coalition government of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and Congress had signed the MCC Compact on September 14, 2017.

KATHMANDU, August 8: A report on the common minimum program and work procedure prepared by the ruling alliance’s task force for the operation of government has been finalized.

KATHMANDU, August 6: The Task Force of the ruling alliance formed earlier to draft a Common Minimum Program (CMP) of the government’s day-to-day operation handed over its draft to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba amidst a special function on Friday. Top leaders of the ruling parties and the Task Force members were present at the function organized at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Baluwatar.
