Ruling allies hold talks

KATHMANDU, Sept. 6: A discussion was held on Thursday between the UCPN (Maoist) and the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) on ways to seeking out a political solution of the existing problem.



At the discussion held at the Prime Minister´s residence at Baluwatar this evening an agreement was reached to present a proposal at the next meeting of the Federal Republican Democratic Alliance on the option between the reinstatement of the CA and going for fresh elections.[break]



Talking to reporters following the meeting, Minister for Physical Planning and Works, Hridayesh Tripathi said the meeting discussed the agenda for the next meeting of the FDRA.



In response to a query relating to the dispute over the appointment of the new IGP, Mr Tripathi said the matter did not feature in today´s deliberations.



UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchadar and other leaders were present at the meeting.
