KATHMANDU, June 24: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced stringent criteria for appointing ambassadors, aiming for transparency and meritocracy. 


According to the party, candidates must be Nepali citizens aged at least 35 years with clean service records and no foreign residence permits or criminal convictions.


They should have substantial diplomatic or international relations experience and a deep understanding of Nepal's economic interests, politics, foreign policy, national security, and geopolitics.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in fields like economics, politics, law, or international relations and demonstrate proficiency in both Nepali and English.


The party stresses the importance of integrity, transparency, and a commitment to national service. Candidates should possess visionary leadership, crisis management skills, and negotiation abilities.


The selection process includes rigorous interviews to assess strategic and crisis management capabilities. Preference will be given to those with leadership roles in renowned organizations and significant contributions to national sectors. 


The RSP aims to ensure ambassadors represent the highest standards of competence, integrity, and dedication to Nepal’s global interests.
