KATHMANDU, April 9: The Rastriya Swatantra Party has asked MP Dhaka Kumar Shrestha to submit a clarification within 24 hours following the leakage of an audio clip in which Shrestha has allegedly demanded Rs 20 million from businessman Durga Prasai.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party issued a statement on Sunday afternoon saying that the party has taken serious note of the leaked audio. RSP said that the party's Central Disciplinary and Conduct Committee has been instructed to investigate the issue related to the telephone conversation and submit a report to the Central Committee within three days.

Shrestha has been instructed not to assume any role as an MP and an ordinary member of the party until the investigation is over. In addition, he has been told to submit the clarification to the Central Disciplinary and Conduct Committee within 24 hours.
