KATHMANDU, Oct 27: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) continued their demonstration drive with a protest in the capital on Sunday. Activists rallied at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu in response to the arrest of party chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who was detained by police on October 18 for alleged involvement in the embezzlement of cooperatives funds, and taken to Pokhara the same night.
RSP seeks explanation from General Secretary Dhakal
The party initially focused its protests in Pokhara but has now redirected its efforts to the capital. A meeting of the central committee of the party held on Saturday at the party’s central office decided to continue with its demonstration drive with a changed form of protest.
