Rs 62m frozen in Tanahu last year

DAMAULI, Sept 29: At least Rs 62.19 million was frozen in Tanahu district last year after the allocated budget could not be spend within the fiscal year.



Of the Rs 1.71 billion allocated for the district, only 1.65 billion was spent. DDC’s Rs 8.1 million, District Technical Office’s Rs 1.2 million and District Education Office´s Rs 7.4 million were among the frozen amounts.



It is said that the offices could not spend the amount on time also due to the late release of the budget.
