INARUWA, March 11: The Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, Paschim Kushaha Sunsari, has provided more than Rs 3.9 million as compensation to locals who suffered as a result of wildlife.

The Reserve Office provided such an amount as compensation to wildlife victims in the current fiscal year, said Conservation Officer at the Reserve, Ashok Ram.
The Office provided Rs 1 million each to two families of those who lost a member in attack by wild animals from the reserve, Rs 353,711 to seven families of those who were injured from wildlife attack, Rs 993,500 to 211 families whose crops were damaged and Rs 418,500 to 79 families whose house and huts were destroyed.
