Indian ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae on Saturday inaugurated the newly-constructed building of Shree Shiva Saraswati Higher Secondary School at Rishing in Ranipokhari of the Tanahun district on Saturday.
A press statement issued by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu said that assistance worth NRs 22.23 million was provided to the school under the small development project scheme. Furniture and computers were also provided to the school.
On the same day, Ambassador Rae also inaugurated a two-story library building of Shree Adikabi Bhanubhakta Multiple Campus, Damauli constructed through Indian financial assistance. India had provided grant assistance worth NRs 10.9 million. Additionally, the embassy has also provided eight ambulances to the
district.
Meanwhile, ambassador Rae on Sunday inaugurated the newly-constructed school building of Shree Janajukta Shahi Higher Secondary School, Nepaltar, in Tanahun district. A three-story building was constructed with a grant worth NRs 32.13 million. The building has spacious classrooms, a library, administration wing and separate rest rooms for boys and girls.
Later in the day, Ambassador Rae also inaugurated Girls Hostel building of Pokhara University at Lekhnath in Kaski district. The hostel can accommodate approximately 50 students at a time. India had provided financial assistance worth NRs 45.07 million for the construction.
