The party´s central committee meeting concluded on Tuesday has demanded to go for election to get fresh mandate saying the political parties failed to complete the task for peace and statute writing even in the extended timeframe of the Constituent Assembly (CA).
The two-day meeting of Kamal Thapa led party demanding return of constitutional monarchy expressed concern over the parties´ exercise to extend the CA term claiming no possibilities of promulgating draft of the statute within August 31 as per the five-point agreement signed by major three parties before extending CA tenure on May 14.
The parties´ exercise to extend CA term will push the nation towards uncertainty, concluded the meeting.
The meeting also announced different protest programs that will begin from August 18, said Raja Ram Shrestha, joint-secretary of RPP Nepal.
The party will circulate party program, door-to-door campaign, and mass assemblies in the first phase of the protest, he said.
Let’s live in peace and embrace diversity
