KATHMANDU, Jan 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa held a courtesy meeting this morning. On that occasion, they discussed the country’s current situation.
In the meeting, PM Oli said that the government is committed to amending the constitution based on consensus. Clarifying that he talked about amending the constitution in 2087 BS, PM Oil said that it would take time to reach a consensus given that some parties in parliament are claiming that they would not allow the amendment. In such a situation, Oli mentioned that the amendment process could be postponed.

During the meeting, Thapa also drew PM Oli’s attention to the fact that the country is currently going through a serious crisis.
