Kamal Thapa, chairman of RPP-N, submitted a list signature of his party lawmakers to CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal on Monday morning. Four lawmakers represent the RPP-N in the Parliament.
Earlier, Thapa had given verbal commitment to NC-UML-led alliance to form new government. The alliance has proposed senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal as prime ministerial candidate for the new government.

With Nepal Workers´ and Peasants´ Party that has 5 MPs also likely to back Nepal, Maoists will be the only party among the 24 represented in the CA that has not yet indicated its support for the UML-led government.
