All academic institutions have been shut down protesting the attack. Navaraj DC, principle of the school, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, former principle of the school and a teacher Arjun Aryal have been beaten up by the RPP cadres while the teachers were returning from a program organized by the RPP. DC is a member of UCPN (Maoist)´s teachers organization, Bhattarai, the CPN-UML´s and Aryal, the Nepali Congress´s. An emergency meeting was held Saturday night between representatives from the parties, various teachers´ organizations and chief of the district police office, after the victims informed about the incident.
The meeting decided to airlift the injured to the district headquarters for treatment. Members of the various teachers organizations have been rallying on the road chanting slogan against the attack.
