Rolpa bus plunge kills two (with photos)

ROLPA, Sept 30: Two persons died when a passenger bus met with an accident in eastern Rolpa on Monday afternoon.

ROLPA, Sept 30: Two persons died when a passenger bus met with an accident in eastern Rolpa on Monday afternoon.


The incident occurred when the bus (Ga 1 Kha 5537) fell off the road at Ruinibang of Sunil Smriti rural municipality-3 and plunged into Lungri River.

The deceased have been identified as bus driver Yam Bahadur Gharti Magar, aged 25, of Lungri-3 Jutungkhola and passenger Suryalal Gharti Magari, aged 18, of Lungri-2 Sirpa.



The passenger bus plunged into the swollen river when it was taking a turn before heading towards a local bus station.



Police and locals recovered the dead bodies from the river.
