After the trial, Persija's Brazilian head coach Stefano Cugurra decided to sign Rohit as his third foreign player for the new season.
Rohit has won 46 caps for the national team. He had made his debut at the age of 17 in 2010 during the AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers held in Kathmandu against Palestine. Before leaving for Indonesia, Rohit won Aaha-Rara Gold Cup and Jhapa Gold Cup with Manang Marsyangdi Club this season.
