Rijendra defeated Rabindra Dage of Indian rated 1821 in the last round on Saturday. Along with the win, Rijendra bagged a purse of Rs 16,000.
Other Nepali players´ performance remained mixed in the last round. The only FIDE Master of Nepal Manish Hamal beat Abdhanulu of India to add 6.5 points after the completion of the last round match. Hamal also bettered his rating by 39 points.
Likewise, Niraj Niroula shared point with Santosh Kumar Singha to collect six points in total. He bettered his rating with one point.
Likewise, Purusottam Chaulagain who lost in the last round to Santharam of India has slumped by 41 points in his rating.
Similarly, Deepak Maharjan and Prem Krishna Maharjan won the last round matches though both have gone down by 15 points in their previous rating. Deepak beat Avinav Podhar of India and Prem Krishna down Ganesh Joshi.
