Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel, the Nepal Medical Association, and residential doctors resolved several key issues that had led to the protests.

As part of the agreement, the government will implement the decision following the 16th meeting of the Medical Education Commission. The Ministry of Health and Population will form a task force to address concerns related to residential doctors' leave, duty hours, and additional benefits. The agreement also directs the concerned authorities to immediately provide residential doctors with a living allowance equivalent to the 8th level of civil employees in the health service. Dr Bhim Prasad Sapkota, the Chief of the Ministry of Health and Population Department, and Dr Sanjeev Tiwari, the General Secretary of Nepal Medical Association, signed the agreement on behalf of the association.

Minister Paudel stated that after the government made the necessary commitments, the Nepal Medical Association decided to call off the protest.
