KATHMANDU, July 26:  Resham Chaudhary, a member of parliament and executive member of Janata Samajbadi Party, visited the Election Commission (EC) on Monday.

The EC had summoned all the executive members of Janata Samajbadi Party to verify signatures of the party to resolve the dispute over its legitimacy. Chaudhary was taken to the EC by a team of police from Dilli Bazar Jail, where he is serving a life-term over his involvement in killing police personnel including then Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Nepal Police.
