KATHMANDU, July 24: The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Development Committee, entrepreneurs and locals have started to remove as many as 60 illegally running vegetable shops at Kalimati area today.
Executive Director of the Committee, Tejendra Prasad Poudel, said that the shops were being removed owing to the sheer inconvenience they have caused to the locals and other entrepreneurs in the area.
He added that the Committee was compelled to remove the shops after the illegal entrepreneurs did not heed frequent requests for removal.
However, an entrepreneur Surendra Shrestha said that they have been running shops for five years after meeting all criteria. RSS
