Relief will be provided to victims even if we have to request assistance from foreign donors: PM Deuba

ITAHARI, Oct 24: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that he will provide relief packages to victims of recent floods and landslides even if he has to request the help of foreign assistance. Stating that climate change has heavily damaged livelihoods and physical structures of the country, PM Deuba assured to provide relief at the earliest.

ITAHARI, Oct 24: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that he will provide relief packages to victims of recent floods and landslides even if he has to request the help of foreign assistance. Stating that climate change has heavily damaged livelihoods and physical structures of the country, PM Deuba assured to provide relief at the earliest. 


Speaking at a program organized in Itahari during his inspection of the disaster-struck areas in Province 1, Pm Deuba said, “we will provide relief by requesting assistance from foreign donors if the resources inside the country are not enough.”

PM Deuba further assured that he will accelerate the work of providing relief to the victims of the recent disaster as soon as he reaches the capital. He further complimented the work done by the security forces in providing immediate help and assistance in the disaster-hit areas. 


PM Deuba has reached Ilam and Panchthar today after inspecting the damages caused by recent disasters in Sunsari and Morang. He is accompanied by Minister for Energy, Water and Irrigation, Pampha Bushal, and Minister for Information and Communication, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki among others.
