RAUTAHAT, May 17: Veteran social worker Banshiram Jaiswal, who dedicated his entire life to establishing and running orphanages, schools, and temples in Garuda, Rautahat, has passed away at the age of 93.
According to his nephew Pankaj Jaiswal, he died while undergoing treatment at Anamika Hospital in Garuda after suffering from long-term health issues.

In 1995 (2052 BS), Jaiswal founded the Banshiram Jayaswal Orphanage in Garuda-4 using his own land. He left his family behind and began living with the orphans to care for them personally. He also established a primary school within the orphanage premises to ensure their education.
Furthermore, he donated his private land to establish and run the Gayatri Shaktipith temple.
Many of the children raised and educated at the orphanage have gone on to serve in respected professions in Nepal, India, and South Korea. The orphanage currently houses 24 children.
According to family sources, his body will be kept at the orphanage for final tributes, and his last rites will also be performed there.
