RAUTAHAT, July 13: Floods caused by incessant rainfall for the past three days have inundated scores of villages in Rautahat district.
The rainfall caused the Bagmati and Lal Bakaiya rivers in the district to swell, eroding embankments, swamping places in the vicinity and crumpling infrastructures.
Thousands of people have been displaced from their homes due to torrential rainfall. Major roads, government offices and houses have been flooded with heavy rainfall. Local government officials have asked people to stay alert.
