KATHMANDU, March 22: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rates for foreign currencies for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for the US Dollar is Rs 137.26, and the selling rate is Rs 137.86. Compared to Friday, when the buying rate for the US dollar was Rs 138.02, and the selling rate was Rs 138.82, the rates have slightly depreciated today.
The buying rate for the euro is Rs 148.80, and the selling rate is Rs 149.45. The buying rate for the UK pound sterling is Rs 177.67, and the selling rate is Rs 178.45. The buying rate for the Swiss Franc is Rs 155.78, and the selling rate is Rs 156.46.
The buying rate for the Australian dollar is Rs 86.36, and the selling rate is Rs 86.73. The buying rate for the Canadian dollar is Rs 95.73, and the selling rate is Rs 96.15. The buying rate for the Singapore dollar is Rs 102.88, and the selling rate is Rs 103.33.
Pound, Singapore Dollar and Australian Dollar strengthen
The buying rate for the Japanese yen (10) is Rs 9.21, and the selling rate is Rs 9.25. The buying rate for the Chinese yuan is Rs 18.94, and the selling rate is Rs 19.02. The buying rate for the Saudi Riyal is Rs 36.59, and the selling rate is Rs 36.75. The buying rate for the Qatari riyal is Rs 37.65, and the selling rate is Rs 37.82.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for the Thai Baht is Rs 4.05, and the selling rate is Rs 4.07. The buying rate for the UAE dirham is Rs 37.37, and the selling rate is Rs 37.53. The buying rate for the Malaysian ringgit is Rs 31.05, and the selling rate is Rs 31.18.
The buying rate for the South Korean Won (100) is Rs 9.38, and the selling rate is Rs 9.42. The buying rate for the Swedish Krona is Rs 13.60, and the selling rate is Rs 13.66. The buying rate for the Danish Krone is Rs 19.95, and the selling rate is Rs 20.03.
Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate for the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.66 and the selling rate at Rs 17.73. The buying rate for the Kuwaiti dinar is Rs 445.45, and the selling rate is Rs 447.39. The buying rate for the Bahraini dinar is Rs 364.12, and the selling rate is Rs 365.71. The buying rate for the Omani Rial is Rs 356.59, and the selling rate is Rs 358.15. The buying rate for the Indian rupee (100) is Rs 160 and the selling rate is Rs 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that it can amend the exchange rates at any time if necessary. Commercial banks may set different exchange rates, and the updated exchange rates will be available on the central bank's website.
