Rasuwa Flood Update: Body of missing police officer found in Chitwan

A police boot was found on one of his feet, and his wife confirmed his identity.

BHARATPUR, July 9: The body of a police officer who went missing in the Rasuwa flood on Tuesday has been found in Chitwan. The body was recovered from the bank of the Trishuli River at Pandra Kilo, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29.

Among the three police personnel who went missing in the flood, Assistant Sub-Inspector Lal Bahadur Shrestha, a resident of Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality–4, Ramechhap, was found dead in the Trishuli River at 6:20 PM yesterday. The body was recovered while it was floating in the river, according to Superintendent of Police Govinda Puri, Chief of the District Police Office, Chitwan.


A police boot was found on one of his feet, and his wife confirmed his identity. Shrestha was stationed at Haku Police Post in Rasuwa and was serving at the Area Police Office, Timure at the time of the incident.
