KATHMANDU, Jan 3: Member of the House of Representatives, Ramesh Lekhak, has been selected as the Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress (NC).
NC President and parliamentary party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba nominated Lekhak as the chief whip of the party on Tuesday.

Deuba's personal secretary Keshav Raj Joshi issued a statement and said that Lekhak has been selected as the chief whip.
The statement said, "President Deuba has nominated the member of the House of Representatives, Ramesh Lekhak, as the Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress in accordance with Sub-Article 1 of Article 13 of the Party Statute.”
Lekhak was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kanchanpur Constituency No. 3.
