Ram Prakash Chaudhary secures victory from Sarlahi-1

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Ram Prakash Chaudhary of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, who was a candidate from the ruling alliance, won from Sarlahi-1.

Chaudhary was elected as a member of the House of Representatives after defeating the closest competitor, independent candidate Man Bahadur Khadka, by 6,434 votes. Chaudhary has received 24,838 votes. Khadka, his closest competitor, got 18,404 votes. Chaudhary is former Inspector of Nepal Police.
